"The Black Piccolo." For over two decades, the S1330 Effect Snare is usually known simply as "The Black Piccolo". That's because it has been so widely accepted as THE essential Piccolo snare sound. Drummers from student to professional have added it to their set ups to get that head-turning tonal bite and groove-centered liveliness. Its rolled steel shell produces an open cracking "snap" sound that's essential for accents and extra voice effects.

Its precision-fit tension rods and solid brass receivers deliver incredibly smooth and precise tuning, while the efficient CL05 dual-ended lug and 1,6mm triple-flanged hoops permit high-tension tuning and extended playing resilience.
